SIW – System Information for Windows. This is a really neat and free program to use if you want to know everything about your computer or any computer that you can get your hands on. SIW is an advanced stand-alone EXE program which does not need require installation that gathers detailed information about a system, properties, settings, and displays such as the BIOS, CPU, devices, memory, motherboard, video, drivers and ports. It monitors in real time for the CPU, memory, pagefile usage, network connections, network traffic and much more. The information that SIW finds is divided into a few major categories: software inventory, hardware inventory, network information, network tools, miscellaneous tools, and real-time monitors. With all of the detailed information that SIW finds it can also create a report file in the formats CSV, HTML, TXT, or XML. SIW - System Information for Windows is a free program and can be ran directly from a USB, desktop, server, or web-script so be sure to check it out and add it to your networking toolbox.

If you want a site to find a lot of free software that is very useful then check out Shock Utility. The Shock Utility website offers many different pieces of software. Some of the programs that they have at this moment that grabbed my attention is Shock Dropper, Shock StartUp, Shock Calendar, and Shock Cleaner. There are many utilities on the Shock Utility web site that increases the computer users experience. The developers at Shock Utility are always coming out with new software and utilities so keep checking back with them for new programs.

Do you have any .iso images and you don't know how to burn them to a disc in Windows Vista. Check out ISO recorder. Iso recorder is a free tool that lets you burn .iso images to CD's and DVD's. One good thing about having Windows Vista is that ISO Recorders DVD support is only for Vista. This handy program also lets you copy disks, make images of CD's and DVD's and create .iso images from the content in a folder. If you download files from torrents or download programs from such companies like Microsoft you will probably need ISO Recorder.

If you want a free zip archive program then check out IZArc. IZArc is a free archive utility that supports a whole list of archive formats. I will list these formats at the bottom. IZArc is a fast archiving utility and supports archive encryption AES 128, 192, and 256 bit encoding. The user interface is very similar to that of WinZip and if this is your first archiving utility it is still easy to navigate through. IZArc is supported by Windows Vista now so if you have upgraded to Vista then your able to use the free zip utility.
