If your looking for a free image manipulation program then Gimp is it. Gimp is a free image editor that does task such as photo retouching, image composition, image authoring, painting, online batch-processing system, mass production image renderer, and image-format converter. Gimp has many plug-ins and extensions so it can do just about anything possible. Some features that Gimp has that is comparable to photoshop is the channels, layers, filters and effects, masks, tabbed pallets, and editable text tools. The common file formats that Gimp supports is JPEF, GIF, PNG, TIFF and to save disk space any format can be saved with an archive extension like ZIP, GZ, or BZ2.
